Maintenance Technician

Intro: Assist with the mechanical needs within the facility when needed.

Decription of Position: Sole Responsibility / Assignments to be completed by the position: · Controls downtime by informing leaders and production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance. · Maintains equipment, parts, and supply inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies · Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results · Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges. · Maintain communication among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs between shifts · Report any safety issues or concerns to the maintenance manager · Support the implementation of the defined 5s standard · Adhere to all safety guidelines outlined by OSHA and Nifco KTW · Responsible for the safety of equipment as well as that of the operators · Record documentation according to specifications · Accurately complete appropriate paperwork and/or enter into computer if required · Contributes continuously to improve processes and procedures · Communicate about work that still needs to be completed and all required information with other shifts and departments · Forwards suggestions for improvement to manager · Immediately informs the manager about malfunctions within work area · Conscientious handling and proper use of the provided tools · Comply with all regulations regarding workplace safety and accident prevention in everyday operations as well as informing the manager if deviations are detected during the shift. · Perform maintenance and conversion work throughout the plant Scheduling work orders to minimize production disruption Other Main Duties: · Responsible for the cleanliness of the work areas · Behave in a positive manner that enhances the success of the company · Assist other maintenance personnel when needed · Other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor

Qualifications: Requirements Basic computer skills Excellent attention to detail Able to read and comprehend Self-motivated Excellent verbal skills Applicants must have at least a High school diploma/GED or equivalent Must have good vision and eyesight Must be productive in a team environment Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, or sit for extended periods of time Ability to work at heights Ability to lift 50 pounds Ability to climb ladder Required to work overtime as scheduled
